National Feminist Dialogue: Building Common Ground for Collective Action

One of the largest national feminist gatherings of the year, this landmark roundtable—organized by Friedrich Ebert Stiftung, the Union of Progressive Women, and the Asfari Institute—brought together a truly diverse cross-section of the feminist movement in Lebanon. From grassroots organizers and independent activists to members of political parties and sitting parliamentarians, the space enabled an unprecedented dialogue rooted in intersectionality, strategy, and shared vision.

For the first time, feminists and policymakers came together to openly engage in shaping a common feminist agenda—marking a bold and necessary step toward aligning activism with policymaking.

This historic event is just the beginning. It lays the foundation for a series of future national gatherings aimed at translating feminist dialogue into concrete, collective action plans that address Lebanon’s most urgent gender justice challenges.
