An ACT Up-Cycled the Elections!

Flex billboards and banners from the 2018 parliamentary elections campaigns, were collected and re-used to produce school bags for public schools students in numerous Lebanese regions.

In accomplishment of the commitment in spreading awareness about environmental sustainability, "Active advocacy for communities of tomorrow" (ACT) collected and re-used election campaign banners made of non-recyclable “Flex” material by turning them into school bags. The project mainly funded by FES was well received by the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education represented by its Director General Fadi Yarak. A total of 3700 bags were distributed in many public schools from various Lebanese areas. The students expressed their happiness for contributing in an Eco-friendly project that was 100% Made in Lebanon.
