The International Kassel Summer School: Shaping the World Economy offers the opportunity to learn about and to question the reasons for the current form of globalization. A critical understanding of globalization is a must for all those who want to have a debate on par with politicians and management. The seminar program consists of various units including topics such as the functioning of the global economy, the globalization of production and institutions of the global economy as well as detailed discussions on design options and strategic approaches in North-South relations.

By sharing experiences about projects and campaigns with each other, participants get new ideas and perspectives and extend their international network.

The program is organized by the University of Kassel, Department 5, Subject “Globalization and Politics”, and the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, hosting speakers from German and international universities as well as activists and experts from NGOs, Trade Unions and other institutions.

Date: 16-21 June 2019

Location: The Evangelische Akademie Hofgeismar – Germany

Required Profile: Eligible candidates must be under 35 years old, knowledgeable of globalization issues with a fluent command of English Language.
